The Many Barriers to Collaboration
Another training session with your manager or supervisor on the sidelines, you just don’t feel comfortable fully participating in the program. No wonder.
As the team leader, you want cohesion on your team more than anything; but when it comes to doing the team building, you find yourself holding back because, well, aren’t these events for the staff?
Stuck on the Outside
It’s impossible to effectively lead a team from outside their circle of trust.
But gaining your team’s confidence while maintaining your boundaries and effectiveness as a leader can be a delicate dance.
Horses don’t care about a person’s position, power, status or title.
They are acutely perceptive, totally honest and have no hidden agendas. With horses on your team, you can feel totally free to participate to the fullest.
Your EQUINE teammates can very accurately sense your level of trust, confidence, awareness, and interpersonal skills.
Horses offer us opportunities to learn what we need to change in order to succeed in personal and professional relationships.

What is Equine-Assisted Learning?
Equine-Assisted Learning is at the cutting edge of leadership training, team building and corporate development in America.
The Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association model of Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) provides a safe structured model for facilitating learning and change.
It is a team approach in which a Certified Equine Specialist and Mental Health Professional facilitate horses and people working together to achieve learning, leadership and team building goals.
How it Works
In Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL), the horses are co-facilitators in the learning process for human emotional growth, learning and change.
The focus of EAL is not on horsemanship or riding. Instead, it involves intentionally designed activities with the horses that require individuals and groups to apply and develop important relationship and life skills.
Conflict Resolution, Team Building and Leadership Development
Participants will be immersed in a whole-body action learning experience with horses where they will practically apply and reflect on their teamwork abilities and awareness.
In essence, working with horses provides an opportunity to bring out the best in ourselves, each other, and the team as a whole.
